Profile -- Julian Veitch, Principal -- Blue Osprey

Blue Osprey provides independent support to private company boards and CEOs, with a focus on the effective execution of growth strategies.

Julian has been Blue Osprey's principal since January 2019 providing:

- project based advisory support

- continuous business support through Advisory Board membership

Previously, he was Group CEO for IOI Loders Croklaan, a $2bn Food Ingredients & Agribusiness company, where following a turnaround of the North American business, he implemented a global strategic vision and organizational change resulting in continuous earnings growth; and ultimately a successful cash out for shareholders.

He has 30 years of experience in Strategic Execution, operating in Commercial, M&A, and General Management roles. In three successful business turnarounds, he has demonstrated his skills in Execution Excellence, Change Management and creating Customer‑Centric Cultures that deliver P&L results. 

Outside North America, he has extensive international experience working in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and has worked in multiple sectors of the Food Industry Value Chain, as well as Leisure & Hospitality. He started his career in consumer marketing with Cadbury Schweppes in the UK and holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from Oxford University.

He currently lives in Florida and enjoys cycling, diving, golf and piloting light aircraft.
